WHICHEVER SIDE OF THE “FOR SALE” SIGN YOU’RE ON, A QUALITY HOME INSPECTION IS ESSENTIAL!!

Types of Home Inspections

PreListing Icon

PRE-LISTING

Anyone selling their home should get a home inspection. But getting one before listing your property puts you ahead of the game, addressing any deficiencies in the home before buyers find them, helps increase the value of your home to get the best price and reduce the time it’s on the market. Knowing what, if any, repairs to make so that you can market your home most effectively.

Pre Purchase Icon

PRE-PURCHASE

Getting a pre-purchase inspection is just smart. It reduces the risk of unexpected and costly surprises, and helps you feel completely comfortable with your home purchase decision. In fact, many clients have saved thousands of dollars during renegotiations based on report findings, while others have avoided purchasing a “money pit”. You will want to know that the home you are considering is safe and sound, avoiding any unwelcome and costly surprises. Hiring an unbiased third party inspector ensures that the home inspection does what it’s meant to do – protect you, the home owner. Knowing the property’s condition will help you make an informed investment decision either to buy, buy with repair conditions on the seller, or keep looking.

NEW CONSTRUCTION

Even new homes can (and often do) have defects. These can be due to substandard construction methods, poor workmanship, cost-cutting, or items which have simply been overlooked, despite the builder’s best intentions. Sometimes builders and/or city building department inspectors fail to catch everything. A new home deficiency inspection can make the difference between happy home ownership and unpleasant surprises.

Home Maintenance Icon

HOME MAINTENANCE

A maintenance inspection is essentially the same as a standard home inspection, but the inspection is done for the current owner. Think of a maintenance inspection as checkup visits to the doctor or dentist that need only happen every five years or so. A maintenance inspection will help to prioritize a home improvement list, and to hopefully find out about small problems before they turn into big ones. In some cases, a maintenance inspection will reveal that what was thought to be a small problem has already turned into a big one. A maintenance inspection also gives homeowners a chance to have a professional home inspector answer questions with a completely unbiased viewpoint. The home inspector isn’t there to sell anything. We’re just there to give unbiased, accurate information.

ABOUT ME

Having been born and raised in Southeast Idaho and living here for over 35 years I enjoy all that this area has to offer including camping, fishing, hiking, off roading and much more. I grew up around building and construction my entire life. My father has always built and remodeled homes ever since I was born. I remember as a young boy going to work with him remodeling homes on his days off as a Pocatello firefighter / EMT. As I got older I built and remodeled homes along side him learning the correct way of building homes and that it is better to do everything correct the first time than to cut corners to save time and money.

As a third generation firefighter/EMT, I have considerable knowledge of NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) requirements and life safety hazards that many home inspectors do not have, which gives me additional knowledge to use as a certified home inspector during all of my inspections.

By choosing Superior Home Inspections you get the confidence you’re hiring a highly qualified home inspector that provides all of my clients with a thorough and comprehensive inspection possible by using my training, as well as my many years of building construction and firefighting/EMT experience.

I really appreciate you for taking the time to visit my website and am excited to talk to you about doing your next home inspection. Feel free to contact me via phone, text or email.

Thank you,
